This is why Joe is one of my heroes... he advocates simplicity. On this video, he emphasizes "lighting well, lighting fast, staying mobile, not carrying lots of gear". Granted his setup will set you back maybe over $2000 but it can be achieved using products on the lower end if you follow the basic concepts.
